SETTELMENT (ILR)

Settlement is also known as Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) in the UK, which means that you can stay in the UK without any time restrictions, so long as you abide by the UK laws. You should usually complete a qualifying period prior before applying for settlement in the UK and can be applied for through a number of routes.

You are eligible to submit applications for leave to remain in the UK on the basis of family and private life, primarily in the following conditions:

  • Family life as a partner of a person settled in the UK or a British citizen
  • Family life as a parent of a British citizen child
  • Family life as a dependent child of a person who has leave to enter or remain in the UK
  • Family life in the UK with a non-British citizen child who has been in the UK for more than 7 years
  • Private life in the UK
  • Leave outside the Immigration Rules on the basis of family or private life.

Whatever your circumstances are, at Mamoon Solicitors we are likely to be able to help you because we have an abundance of experience in assisting our clients to obtain Settlement (ILR) in the UK and regularise their immigration status.
